When he starts to say the line he’s leaned back, confident. Eyebrow raised, smirk in place, sort of like “Ha, fuck you, I don’t fucking need you.” 

But then as he says the line he starts leaning forward, he gets angry, upset, more like, “Why can’t you just love me! Why do I have to beg for it?!” 

And it just breaks my fucking heart

Because he’s trying to convince Cooper thathe doesn’t need him, he doesn’t need his brother, but it ends up being Blaine trying to convince himself of that.
