Just going to go ahead and post this again, because it is driving me up the wall that Darren can say one dumb thing and suddenly everything he’s ever said about Klaine is erased.

I second this. Darren loves his fans, loves Klaine and has always always supported the gay community. I know we are all very touchy about Klaine’s future in general right now, so I understand why people are taking his comments to heart. But please don’t forget what a great guy he is. And please don’t send him hateful messages. I want Klaine to stay together as much as the next guy, and a break-up will probably send me into a major tail-spin. But glee’s writers have always said (just like with Finchel) that Klaine will end up together. A break-up wouldn’t be permanent. And the slightly murky silver lining to a break up would be that it would almost guarantee that K + B would have screen time together that Fox would allow…moments where they run into each other and there is a faint longing in their eyes as they realize that they are still in love:) (And its possible that this is why Darren and Chris have said that they both want more conflict in the relationship…more conflict equals more screen time. Just think about DWS. That was the most we have seen Klaine interact with each other in 17 episodes.) And of course, it would almost guarantee a make up kiss. No kiss after a fight that lasts a single episode is possibly excusable. But no kiss after a 6 or 7 episode break-up is completely unforgivable. They’d never get away with it. So lets all take a deep breath and remember why we love Darren:) If this vid doesn’t remind you, try the glee live kiss. That one does it for me every time:)

I’m not even angry right now, just sad. Because they had the audacity to be angry and defensive that someone questioned something that they must know on some level is wrong, because hey look! they wrote all the stupid meta in “Heart” about it. They could have handled those questions so much better and it’s really disheartening that they don’t see how the double standard is a serious issue. Although I shouldn’t be surprised after what Ryan said about fans just wanting to see “naked makeouts”.

It’s especially frustrating when I see people claim  we are impossible to please, because I just remember the times that people on my dash were excited by a blink and you’ll miss it background hug for a canon couple. That’s not even close to “impossible to please”.

like i’m all for drama to shake things up and yeah, i’m a bit of a masochist in the sense that i enjoy feeling angst week after week with a promised happy ending, but when it’s drama always brought on by a third party it gets a little repetitive.

we had sebastian. we had chandler.

it would be nice to see a little creativity with the drama instead of the, “in walks new, beautiful boy. kurt/blaine somehow gets involved. drama! explosions! resolved ending. never mentioned again” situation we’ve found ourselves in.

i don’t know, i don’t think i’m being picky when i say that i’d like a little originality once in awhile.

Okay, so I’m seeing a lot of things floating around on my dash today, but what I’m especially seeing is fights about whether or not rape jokes are funny. And, of course, I’m seeing this story, about a comedian responding to the suggestion that rape jokes aren’t funny with the words “Wouldn’t it be funny if that girl got raped by like, 5 guys right now? Like right now? What if a bunch of guys just raped her…” tangled up in the center of a lot of these discussions. And it occurs to me, with all this anger going around, that there are some things that maybe aren’t being said that, I think, need to be said. Am I saying the anger isn’t deserved? Of course not. Am I saying the anger doesn’t have it’s place, or doesn’t need to be acknowledged, respected, and heard? Of course not. Am I saying that I am, myself, not angry? No, I’m really not saying that at all. I’ve got a lot of anger in my heart about this topic, both in the abstract and in the upsettingly specific; however, I have had to learn to separate from that anger, because it makes it difficult to live my life. 

So this is not an angry post; this is an explaining post. This is a post where we just talk. And what we’re going to talk about is what “rape jokes aren’t funny,” really means. Or, to put it another way: this is a post about why rape jokes aren’t funny.

i’m just so sick of people saying “stop looking” or “stop focusing on a relationship” etc etc

like.

no okay i’m not “looking” i’m “wanting” and i won’t ever stop wanting and i don’t even know how to begin to stop wanting. wanting a romantic, sexual relationship is healthy and normal and the fact that i’m 20 and have never had one? i’m allowed to want that and know what it feels like to be wanted in every way and know you’re worth it to someone in every way.

i’m not “focusing” on a relationship but i’m allowed to be lonely, i’m allowed to want one, and i’m allowed to feel sad-related emotions because of how long i’ve gone without feeling that special “special” with/to someone.
